Tom Berg

Tom Berg, will be sworn in on January 18, 2011 to the Honolulu City Council after winning a special election on December 29, 2010 for the District I seat vacated by Todd Apo. [1] District I includes the following areas: Ewa, Ewa Beach, Honouliuli, West Loch, Kapolei, Kalaeloa (Barber's Point), Honokai Hale and Nanakai Gardens, Ko'Olina, Nanakuli, Wai'anae, Makaha, Keaau, and Makua. [2]
Berg, a Republican, had also run in 2010 against state Rep. Rida Cabanilla Arakawa (D, Waipahu-Ewa). He had also run unsuccessfully against Cabanilla in 2008. Berg had been a legislative aide to Cabanilla Arakawa. [3]
