Regressive taxation

From dKosopedia

Regressive taxation is a taxation system in which all taxpayers are charged a numerically equal amount of money.

Because, in this system, a wealthy taxpayer pays a lower percentage of his or her income than a low-income taxpayer, this system increases the wealth gap between rich and poor.

Other taxation systems include progressive taxation and flat taxation.
