Patty Judge

From dKosopedia

Patty Judge (D) is Iowa's Lt. Governor. She was elected to that office in 2006, after serving as the Secretary of Agriculture from 1999-2006. Before that, she served for eight years in the Iowa State Senate. During her tenure as Sec. of Ag., she was criticized for being too close to large corporate producers, like Austin J. DeCoster, Iowa's first habitual violator of environmental laws.

Judge is a former registered nurse, and she and her husband have owned a cow-calf operation for 35 years. They have three grown sons and two grandchildren.

Judge ran for Governor of Iowa, but she dropped out of the race in February, 2006, and endorsed Chet Culver and began campaigning as his running mate.
