Norbrook: I wanted to suggest that you move this information from your user page onto a "Haiti Earthquake Relief" page, so it's more easily findable by someone searching for it.
I've just updated the Haiti page to add information on the Earthquake, and while I did link to your page in the "Daily Kos Response" section, I also took the liberty of saying that the information would eventually have its owon page. I did not want to create that page, however, because I felt that you should be listed as the original creator, since it's your work here.
What you can do is click on this Haiti Earthquake Relief link (or the one on the Haiti page), and as long as you're logged in, it will ask you if you want to create the page. As soon as you have created the page, you can copy the contents of your page here to there. (If you want to call it something other than "Haiti Earthquake Relief"—don't add "Page", as that's redundant—please feel free; I grabbed the title from your first header here.)

Just a warning: edwardsorobama did a major edit on the Haiti Earthquake Relief page, moving sections around (texting moved way up), and eliminating the "Secular NGOs" section altogether, adding a line lauding the Religious NGOs, and then, at the end of them, saying, "For those who don't feel comfortable donating money to religious groups for secular purposes there are always the following groups:"; the first listed after that was the Unitarian Universalists. Only four secular NGOs remain out of the original twenty-five and the segment on groups aiding animals was also eliminated.
I restored the text as you had left it, doing a little formatting cleanup in the texting section and the diary links at the bottom. Unfortunately, you may see more of these destructive edits; wikis allow the good, the bad, and the misguided. You'll want to keep an eye on things, especially if the diaries on Daily Kos are retrieving text and links from this page.
If this should become a problem, there are dKosopedia admins who can step in.

edwardsorobama came back. This time, less of an edit: he's moved sections around (you had Secular, Long-term, Religious; it's now Religious, "Secular", Long-term), deleted the four Animal Welfare charities, and done a little moving around within sections: American Friends Service Committee is now first in the Religious section, and ICRC now first in Secular (which now has quotes: "Secular", which confirms what EoO is after).
Are the people doing Haiti diaries pulling from this article? If so, and we can't get this person to stop, you may want to move the page information back here for them to copy from. But I'd hate for this to be necessary.
I'm willing to restore completely if you want me to, or you can do it yourself if you'd rather. Or I can consult the dKosopedia admins. —Sardonyx 20:45, 24 January 2010 (EST)
Just added the following to the top of the Haiti Earthquake Relief page:
- Important Note: this page is used for the current series of diaries on the Haiti earthquake and relief organizations that the Daily Kos community has and might wish to support, as noted in the initial section below. Please do not modify this page except to add new, appropriate organizations, or to correct errors.
We'll see if it has any effect; if not, then to admins we shall go. —Sardonyx 22:44, 24 January 2010 (EST)

The Text section revision has lost a couple of entries: International Rescue Committee and "Rescue Union Mission/MedCorp International". I have quotes around "Rescue Union Mission/MedCorp International", because according to the Mobile Giving Haiti Texting page, texting HAITI to 85944 goes to International Medical Corps (which looks a bit like the second of those two), and it's a $10 donation, not a $5 one. Did you delete these deliberately, or did they get lost during alphabetizing?
I've corrected the Haiti Earthquake Relief page according, also adding the $10 donation text option for the Yéle Haiti organization, and removing the very old "today" comment next to its $5 entry. Since you're in the middle of editing your own page here, I didn't want to do anything that might get in the way, so I haven't touched it.
What caught my eye here was the last of the Oxfam entries, which had two bullets next to it instead of one; then I noticed that the same entry was duplicated twice earlier in the list. —Sardonyx 17:27, 10 February 2010 (EST)
Trolls
Hey Norbrook,
I'm not sure if you're an administrator, but I'd like you to please take a look at the edits of the following users:
The first two have wholesale copy-pasted racist tracts from sites like Free Republic and Israel Forum.
