Lisa Brown is the Democratic Leader of the Washington State Senate. She represents the 3rd Legislative District in central Spokane. Brown is the Majority Leader of the senate.
The State Senate was controlled by the Republicans 25 to 24. In the 2004 election, Democrats picked up a few seats and regained control of the State Senate. Senator Brown was elected by her colleagues to be the Majority Leader.
