Spokane

The city of Spokane has a population of approximately 200,000. It is the county seat of Spokane County and is the largest city in Eastern Washington. It has a government that consists of a mayor and a six-member city council with a council president. All positions are non-partisan. However, until the current mayor, Jim West, was elected, he was the Republican majority leader in the Washington State Senate.
