Iowans for Tax Relief

From dKosopedia

Iowans for Tax Relief is an anti-tax group located in Muscatine, Iowa. It was founded in 1978 by David Stanley and Ed Failor, Sr. In 1984, it formed a political action committee, Taxpayers United. This PAC has been controversial even within Republican circles, because it is willing to attack incumbent Republicans who are too moderate. In the 2006 primary election for the State House, they contributed $30,000 to two sucessful far-right primary challengers: Matt W. Windschitl and Linda J. Miller.
