Ikaika Anderson is serving his first term on the Honolulu City Council representing City Council District 3. Council District 3 covers Waimanalo, Kailua and Kaneohe.
Anderson won a special election on April 23, 2009 to complete Honolulu City Councilmember Barbara Marshall's unexpired term. Councilmember Marshall had died from cancer on Feb. 22, 2009. Anderson had won with 49 percent of the vote. Anderson's term on the Council expires on Jan. 2, 2013.
