The Government Reform Subcommittee on Energy and Resources exercises oversight of the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC), the Department of Interior, the Department of Agriculture, and the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). It also closely examines national energy policy.

From 2000-2006, this Committee squandered it's power. Darrel Issa (R-CA; best known for engineering the recall of CA Gov Gray Davis) was the Chairman of this Subcommittee in the 109th Congress.

In the two remaining Bush years, this Subcommittee will certainly have a lot to do.
