Peeder's 2 cents... The republicans are effective at getting their message out to the masses because it's so simple. Here's my understanding of it:

We're going to let people like us make as much money as they want, in the easiest way they can, by raping the earth and the working class. And we're going to let them keep as much of that money we can, with deeply regressive tax reform. We'll kill anyone who so much as offends us, with an imperialist military policy, the death penalty, and no gun control. And we'll justify it all by invoking the God of War and Wealth, Jesus Christ.

So whatever Dems do in response to this, it ought to be as potent and as portable. It shouldn't be an answer to these points, it should be its own decisive and inspiring vision, simple and easily drummed into people's skulls like a nursery rhyme. That's what the Repubs are doing, and horrifying though it may be to admit, it works. (end peeder's 2 cents)
