Bonnie Campbell

Bonnie Campbell is a Democratic attorney from Des Moines, Iowa. She was Iowa's Attorney General from 1990-1994, and she ran unsuccessfully for Governor in 1994. In 1995, she led the Justice Department's Violence Against Women Office. She was nominated for a federal judgeship, but her appointment was blocked for two years by the Republican congress in the final years of the Clinton administration.

Campbell received her law degree from Drake University in 1985.

She was a key member of Gov. Chet Culver's transition team, and she was appointed to the Iowa Board of Regents in 2007.
