Andrew Horne

Lt. Col. Andrew Horne is a lawyer and Marine from Kentucky. He ran for Congress in Kentucky's Third district, KY-03. This Fighting Dems lost the primary election to John Yarmuth.
Horne worked his way through college at the University of Louisville, while also serving in the Marine Corps Reserve. After graduation, he spent six years on active duty, then enrolled in law school. Andrew put his legal education on hold when he was called up for Operation Desert Storm on Thanksgiving Day, 1990. In 2003 he was called up again for Operation Iraqi Freedom, where he was assigned to Anbar province. Just days before being activated to serve in Iraq, Horne received the devastating news that his wife had been diagnosed with breast cancer. Today, Stephanie has completed her cancer treatments and continues her successful recovery
He and his wife Stephanie are members of the Christ Church United Methodist of Louisville and have two young children.
