Someone industrious can go read all the links from the best practice list, and write the individual articles citing the dowire article as a source. It's also a good idea to do a google search on each term to find other instances of wikis using the same policies, so that one can compare, contrast, and find the best statement of each.

Doing this right could really save wiki administrators a lot of time, bother, and dead ends.

Doing it right -- means not doing it at all

The one list here is a duplication of the same list over there. That isn't a best practice at all. A best practice builds in an open source way. A best practice stands on the shoulders of those who have come before. A best practice just links to the original source and if changes are necessary, or desired, they are made there.

It might, but the benefit of letting them evolve in many places is that people can compile them and compare them. There is obviously no one best way to apply any technology, it always depends on context. Even another political wiki might vary considerably in its needs from a partisan wiki like dKosopedia:itself or like Green Party of Canada Living Platform. Anonymous troll

There's also licensing concerns. dowire.org does not have an open content license, so to rewrite the material here as part of the GFDL corpus would allow this to become a place for partisan wiki best practices to evolve. Anonymous troll 15:18, 23 May 2006 (PDT)
