Washington State House of Representatives

The Washington State Legislature is a bicameral body with 49 members in the Senate, the upper chamber. The lower chamber, the House of Representatives has 98 members. Each district is served by one Senator and two House members. House members are elected to two-year terms. The Washington State Legislature convenes in the State Capital Building in downtown Olympia.
