Walden College is the alma mater of most of the major characters in the Doonsbury comic strip, a fictional political satire which has been running since Gary Trudeau, its creator, was a student a Yale during the Vietnam War. In its current incarnation is the the symbol of all that is degenerate and sentimental in higher education. Its students all cheat, its professors inflate grades, its orientation is corporate, and its student body spends a great deal of time partying and examining each other's bodies.
