Tom Rielly (D) is currently serving his first term in the Iowa Senate. He represents Senate District 38, which includes Iowa, Poweshiek, and Keokuk counties.

Senator Rielly is a member of the Agriculture, Commerce, Economic Growth, and Local Government Committees. He is also a member of the Economic Development Budget Subcommittee.

Senator Rielly was born and raised in Oskaloosa and chose to return there after college with his wife to start a family. He is very active in the community, with memberships in the Jaycees, Kiwanis, Elks, Chamber of Commerce, and other civic groups.

Senator Rielly graduated from Loras College in Dubuque, IA. He owns and operates Rielly Insurance in Oskaloosa where he works as a financial advisor and insurance agent.
