I think the ballot initiatives for reforming the ballot are very likely to succeed because they appeal to everyone's sense of fairness. I think they need to preceed the others. I am not a big fan of legislation by ballot initiative but I think making fair elections is one of the main underpinnings of a real democracy. The ballot fairness initiatives have been discussed in several diaries at dailykos and I talk about them at my very low-traffic blog fredsfred.blogspot.com - which right now is mostly for me to write things down so that in a month or two I don't forget anything. I think that we could use a PAC that was devoted to ballot fairness.
