Stuart Starky

Stuart Marc Starky was born March 13, 1957 in New York. He is married and has two daughters named Alexa and Jaclyn. He currently lives in Phoenix, Arizona and teaches 8th grade Math at CO Greenfield Elementary School. He has a B.S. Accounting from Philadelphia University and a Master's in Secondary Education from the University of Phoenix.

Stuart Starky is a member of the Democratic Party in Arizona. In 1998, he ran for the US House of Representatives in Arizona Congressional District 3. In 2004, he ran for US Senate against Senator John McCain with his campaign slogan as "Renew the Promise of America." He received almost 21% of the vote. Stuart Starky debated Senator John McCain twice during the course of the 2004 election.


On the Issues

Iraq War: Starky is against the Iraq War. He says the troops should be brought home immediately.

Minimum Wage: Starky is for raising the minimum wage in Arizona where it is currently $5.15 an hour.

Energy: He says America should decrease our dependence on oil and increase use of renewable energy sources.

Education: He believes that the "No Child Left Behind" Act was a failure. College education should be free to everyone.
