Steve Salem

Steve Salem was the Republican county chairman in Woodbury county, IA during the 2006 elections. After the election, he was removed as chairman at a county central committee meeting.

During the 2006 election, the fundamentalists operated a separate campaign headquarters, which focused exclusively on far-right candidates. Salem said: "You've heard of IslamaFascists -- I think we now have Christian fascists. What is the definition of a fascist? Not only do they want to beat you, but they want to destroy you in the process."
