Sharon Marko is a Minnesota State Senator from SD57 in the 2nd Congressional District.

Senator Sharon Marko is currently in her first term in the Minnesota State Senate but has decided not to seek re-election. Sharon has pursued transportation finance reform; increased education funding and implementation of all-day, every-day kindergarten; general public safety improvements, and campaign finance reform. Preceding her current term in the State Senate, Sharon spent eight years in the Minnesota House of Representatives, rising to the leadership position of Assistant Minority Leader. Prior to running for the Minnesota House, Sharon served three years on the Newport City Council.

Sharon lives in Cottage Grove with her husband, Jim Wolcott, and has two grown children and two grandchildren.
