Sam Wallace

Sam Wallace has been the chief executive officer of Iowa Health Systems (IHS) since 1995. IHS is a non-profit corporation that owns 11 hospitals and 125 clinics across the state. It employs more than 18,000 people, including 350 doctors. Wallace earned more than $1.3 million last year, more than triple his salary in 1998. He has announced that he will retire on January 1, 2008.
