Robert Klein

Robert G. Klein, served as Senior Associate Justice of the Hawaii State Supreme Court from 1992 - 2000 following a 14-year career as a trial court jurist.
Klein drafted the Supreme Court's landmark PASH Decision (Public Access Shoreline Hawai'i) in 1995, which upheld the reasonable exercise of traditional and customary Native Hawaiian rights by requiring public agencies to hold public contested case hearings in any of its permitting actions.
Robert G. Klein has served as the Office of Hawaiian Affairs (OHA) board lead counsel since September 2002.
The Native Hawaiian attorney is a partner at the Honolulu law firm of McCorriston Miller Mukai MacKinnon LLP.
