Robert Dopf

Robert Dopf is a Republican attorney from Iowa.

Dopf graduated from Drake University and Drake Law School, and was in private practice for nine years before joining the U.S. District Attorney’s Office for Southern Iowa. Dopf was 57 years old in March 2006. He is running for Iowa Secretary of State, see Iowa Statewide elections, 2006, but lost the Republican primary to Chuck Allison.

When asked about his priorties for the Sec. of State office, Dopf said, "Under eight years of Chet Culver, I heard a lot about getting out the vote. I never once heard anything about the security of integrity of the process." (Cedar Rapids Gazette, May 30, 2006, p. 1B)

He and his wife, Mary, have five children and one grandchild.
