Robert Borski

From dKosopedia

Robert Borski was born October 20, 1948 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He was elected to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in 1976 and served until his election to Congress in 1982.

He represented Pennsylvania's 3rd District in Congress from 1983 until 2002, when his district was combined with that of fellow Democrat Joe Hoeffel. The Philadelphia-area seat was considered a toss-up between the two, but Borski felt his chances were not great, and so he chose to retire after 10 terms in the House rather than face Hoeffel in a bloody primary.

Borski was consistently a very conservative Democrat.
