User talk:Ray Radlein

Ray, thanks for joining in. We're in dire need of a more comprehensive set of Policies than we currently have. I like how you've talked about screeds and sources on your user page. Would you mind taking on the project of hammering out a revised Policies and Guidelines? -- Centerfielder 03:11, 24 June 2006 (PDT)

Ken Stepp
Thank you for working on Ken Stepp's page I was starting to feel like I was going nuts. Bartfart 11:00, 13 June 2006 (PDT)
- De nada; there seem to be some folks who think that the fact that dKpedia is not slavishly devoted to NPOV means that irrelevant asides, hysterical screeds, and fanatical rants are de rigeur components of factual articles. If a reader goes to an article about a person or organization, it is because they want to read the facts about that person or organization; if they wanted to argue policy and philosophy, they'd be reading the MemeTank or ThinkTanks sections --Ray Radlein 12:11, 13 June 2006 (PDT)
WIkipedia
I too have finally given up on Wikipedia. It's an amazing piece of work. Leo54 20:08, 31 July 2006 (PDT)
Question
Is it correct to assume since this is affiliated with Daily Kos, that this is a purely political 'encyclopedia'? I think I might like to contribute. I finally had it with WIkipedia, after a deleted attack piece that I spent some time on getting rid (it was speedy deleted) was recreated, as an even worse attack piece on lawyers. What I like about WIkipedia is that it is so broad - a whole range of topics. What I don't like is the infusion of authoritarian personalities and wingnuts, for lack of a better word.
