R.T. Rybak

From dKosopedia

Image:Rybak.jpg

Raymond Thomas (R.T.) Rybak, Jr. was a surprising winner of the 2001 election for Mayor of Minneapolis. Rybak ran a low-budget, populist campaign with vast grassroots support to defeat incumbent mayor Sharon Sayles Belton. He faces a challenging reelection campaign in 2005 against Hennepin County Councilman Peter McLaughlin.

Rybak was the first big-city mayor to endorse the 2004 Presidential campaign of Howard Dean. In his reelection bid, he has received the endorsement of Democracy for America.
