Pat Ward

Pat Ward (R) was elected to the Iowa State Senate in a Special Election held on February 3, 2004. Her district, Senate District 30, includes West Des Moines, Clive, and Windsor Heights. Before winning that election, she was the Director of the Republican Senate Caucus Staff.

Ward holds a B.S. Degree in Business and Legal Studies from Central Missouri State University, graduating in 1979. She is married to John Ward, managing partner of Sullivan and Ward P.C., a law firm in Des Moines. They have two teenage children, and their family attends Plymouth Congregational Church in Des Moines.
