Mishnah

The Mishnah is a systemic legal code. Recording the views of generations of rabbis, it is the earliest known book of Rabinnic Judaism. The Mishnah was redacted in the Land of Israel around 220 C.E. Commentary on the Mishnah eventually led to the Talmud.
