Mike Rounds is the Republican Governor of South Dakota. He was elected in 2002 and reelected in 2006. From 1990 to 2000, Mike Rounds was elected to serve South Dakota for five terms in the state Senate, representing District 24. He served as the majority leader from 1994-2000.
He and his wife Jean have four children, and they are members of St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church of Pierre.
