Mike Protack (R) was raised in Delaware, growing up in New Castle and graduating from William Penn High School (1975) and the University of Delaware (1979, B.A. in International Relations). After college he proudly served in the U.S. Marines for 10 years as a Ground Officer and Naval Aviator. Mike was married in Delaware and both of his children were born in Delaware.
Mike and his wife, Mary Ann have been happily married for 26 years. They have two sons, Clinton (25) who is attending Medical School in Rochester, New York and Kevin (16), who is a student at Archmere Academy in Claymont, Delaware. Both sons have attended public and private schools in Delaware. They live in Yorklyn, Delaware.
Protack ran for the U.S. Senate, but lost the primary to Jan Ting, see Delaware U.S. Senate election, 2006.
