Measuring the howard stern effect

In June of 2004, Howard Stern said the following:

"John Kerry will receive more votes because of this. ... My audience will vote in a bloc."

"We're also in a lot of key states. ... If we can affect that state that's big news."

Media claimed that Stern controlled a large percentage of votes, and that his listeners would generally do what he said. This article measures the "Howard Stern Effect" on the 2004 election in some of his biggest markets. The source on all of these is Dave Leip's Atlas of U.S. Presidential Elections.
