Liberal Thinking
From dKosopedia
I am an independent business consultant based in Northern California. I was born in Ohio and have lived in California for over twenty year, all of them working in the computer industry. I've voted in nearly every election since registering at 18 years old (some 34 years ago). I've served on juries twice. I was never in the military. (I did not avoid the draft, I simply had a draft number too high to get sucked into the war in Vietnam.)
I have, in the past, volunteered for a number of philanthropic organizations, including a drug treatment center and numerous computer groups. I support or have supported Planned Parenthood, Amnesty International, the ACLU, Doctors Without Borders, and a number of other beneficial organizations.
Blogging on DailyKos allows me to fulfill one of the most important acts of being a good citizen: staying informed and taking an active part in government. I am a patriot, I love my country, and I'm proud of it for the things that are good about it:
- When its government represents the will of the people.
- When it protects individual and minority rights.
- When its open system of commerce provides material progress.
- When it opens its hands to others in need.
I'm proud of the people of our country because we have the potential and the desire to provide the very best for the world. That best comes about when individuals are willing to make a stand for what they believe in. Putting my thoughts on DailyKos allows me to do that.
I'm withholding my name until others have filled in their pages.
