LED lighting

From dKosopedia

LED lighting is an alternative to the use of incandescent and fluorescent lighting systems. Unlike those more commonly used lighting systems, LEDs (light-emitting diodes) are very high efficiency producers of light, which means that there is much less loss of power to unwanted generation of heat. The use of incandescent lighting under hot weather conditions can impose an unwanted energy burden on the air conditioning system. Energy is wasted once in heating the air of the building, and again when the air conditioners pump that heat to the outside.
