Background

Larry Galizio was born in the month of January, 1964 in Los Angeles. Galizio is a Teacher at Portland Community College with a background as a communication consultant. Larry Galizio has taught at Portland Community College's Sylvania campus for 11 years transforming the college's speech and debate team into an internationally recognized program. Under his guidance, PCC was recognized four times as the top community college debate team in the nation and his students competed at the prestigious World Universities Debating Championships.

Larry and his wife, Elisa Engbretson, a family nurse practitioner, live in Tigard Oregon.

Education

M.A. Communication, San Francisco State University; B.A., Psychology, University of California at Berkeley. Galizio is currently enrolled in a doctoral program in Urban Studies at Portland State University.

Governmental Experience

Galizio's previous governemnt expereince includes serving on the Parks Task Force for City of Tigard. He currently serves on the General Government Revenue Committe.
