Kinmel Camp Riot

From dKosopedia

The Kinmel Camp Riot erupted in March, 1919 among 20,000 disease-ridden, war-weary troops stationed at Kinmel Park in Rhyl, North Wales. Many of these soldiers had been involved in the great battles of World War I, including the Battle of the Somme. The cause of the violence is that many were disappointed at the pace demobilization. As many as 21 may have been killed. Kimmel Park or Kinmel Estate is a Victorian manor of 5,000 acres.
