Janet Barry

From dKosopedia

Janet Barry is the Issaquah School District Superintendent who fired a 43 year old school bus driver for having "flipped off" (made a rude hand gesture) the Bush motorcade when Republican Pres. George W. Bush arrived in Seattle to help raise funds for Republican Representative Dave Reichert in June 2006. The motorcade was driving slowly on Interstate 5. The employment of the school bus driver was teminated in September 2006 and she appealed the decision in November 2006. Barry is quoted as claiming that, "If the bus driver had made the gesture to a driver who cut her off on a local road, we would have taken the same action." Source: Manuel Valdes.
