James Arakaki

James Arakaki has served on the Hawaii County Council since 1990. Arakaki has been reelected to the Council in 2004 representing Council District 3, his eighth term. Council District 3 includes South Hilo (Waiakea Homesteads, Waiakea-Uka), and Puna (Keaau).
He is president of the Dodo Mortuary Life Plan, Inc., a pre-need funeral plan, and has lived in Hilo much of his life.
