Jack Suwa

Jack Suwa, (b.? - d. Jan. 22, 2010), a Democrat, was first elected to the Hawaii Legislature in 1958 and served 20 years in the Hawaii State House of Representatives. He served on the House Finance Committee as its chairman for many of those years.

Suwa also served as the director of the Hawaii State Department of Agriculture under Gov. George Ariyoshi and as deputy director of the Hawaii State Department of Transportation.

Suwa was also a consultant and a supervisor and executive at Puna Sugar Co. and AMFAC.[1]
