- {{{date/topic}}} - In most case, this refers to the date of when the topic of the article occured, such as when used in daily suammry articles on what occured in Congress, or a in conjunction with a specific event. The format of "January 1, 2007" (no quotes) should be used for a specifc date or "January 1, 2007 - January 1, 2007" (no qutoes) if the topic of the article covers a range of dates. It can, on rare occasions, be used as a topic header instead.
- {{{previous}}} - This should be used as the link previous articles that are related. This is used mainly to link daily and weekly summary articles together to allow easy navigation from session to session in Congress. The entered data is automatically made a link, so no brackets should be used.
- {{{next}}} - Like the above data/link, this should be used to link to the next related article, usually the next day/week in the daily and weekly summary articles. The entered data is automatically made a link, so no brackets should be used.
