Herman Wedemeyer

Herman Wedemeyer, or "Squirmin' Herman" in his football days, was elected to the Honolulu City Council as a Republican in 1968, then to the Hawaii State House of Representatives for the Waikiki-Mo'ili'ili area as a Democrat in 1970. He won re-election in 1972.

Wedemeyer played Edward D. "Duke" Lukela on the TV program Hawaii 5-0 from 1971 to 1980. [1]
