Hawaii Bar Owners Association

From dKosopedia

The Hawaii Bar Owners Association (HiBOA) is a non-profit organization of Liquor License Holders in Hawaii. The majority of members are bar owners although non-owners are also welcome as non-voting "associate members" provided they are supportive of the groups interests. The groups primary function is to influence legislation through advocacy to promote legislation viewed as favorible to the bar industry in Hawaii.

Positions

The group opposes execise tax increases, the bottle bill, minimum wage increases, and is highly opposed to the 2006 smoking ban in bars. They also seek to work with local liquor commissions on legislative and liquor rules that are fair and balanced to both the bar industry and the interests of the community. [1]
