- February 1, 2007 - Is a co-sponsor of S. 479, a bill to reduce the incidence of suicide among veterans, which was reffered to the Senate Committee on Veterans' Affairs.
- February 1, 2007 - Requested his name was added as a cosponsor of S. 455, a bill to amend the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 to provide tax relief to active duty military personnel and employers who assist them, and for other purposes.
- February 6, 2007 - Requested his name was added as a cosponsor of S. 430, a bill to amend title 10, United States Code, to enhance the national defense through empowerment of the Chief of the National Guard Bureau and the enhancement of the functions of the National Guard Bureau, and for other purposes.
- February 6, 2007 - Requested his name was added as a cosponsor of S. 505, a bill to amend the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 to increase the above-the-line deduction for teacher classroom supplies and to expand such deduction to include qualified professional development expenses.
- February 6, 2007 - Was a orginal cosponsor of S. 502 when it was introduced to the Senate. It is a bill to that would repeal the sunset on the reduction of capital gains rates for individuals and on the taxation of dividends of individuals at capital gains rates. It was referred to the Senate Committee on Finance.
- February 6, 2007 - Introduced a bill, S. 504, that would amend the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 to establish long-term care trust accounts and allow a refundable tax credit for contributions to such accounts, and for other purposes.
