Gil Riviere, a Republican, was elected the the Hawaii State House of Representatives in 2010 to represent the 46th Representative district. The 46th Representative district includes the following areas on Oahu: Waialua, Haleiwa, Kahuku, Laie, Kunia Camp, Wheeler, Schofield and Poamoho.
Community service
- President of Keep the North Shore Country.
- Chairs the Traffic & Transportation Committee and represents Waialua on the North Shore Neighborhood Board.
- Represents the North Shore Chamber of Commerce at Oahu Metropolitan Planning Organization (OMPO) in Honolulu. I am very pleased about the turnaround and growth *President, Waialua Little League since 2008.
- Let's Surf Coalition.

- opened Town and Country Mortgage, LLC, in Waialua in 2001.
