DHinMI Posts

From dKosopedia

DHinMI was for five and a half years the pseudonym of political blogger and campaign manager Dana Houle. He first discovered Daily Kos in February 2003, but didn't create his pseudonym until mid July 2003 to comment on that blog. After serving over fourteen months as an official guest blogger on Daily Kos, he continued making front-page posts there, later becoming a Contributing Editor to the site from the time it became a formal group blog through August 2009. He is currently managing the campaign of Matt Entenza, a DFL candidate for Governor of Minnesota for the 2010 election. He co-founded the group blog The Next Hurrah in February 2005.

Front Page Posts

On Friday, September 19, 2003, Markos announced the addition of Meteor Blades and DHinMI to the front page in New guest posters. RonK, Seattle, who had started posting to the front page on April 11, 2003, continued as a guest poster until October 8, just before Daily Kos transitioned to Scoop software. Both Meteor Blades and DHinMI continued as guest bloggers after the transition.

DHinMI wrote thirteen posts for Daily Kos through October 13, 2003. That evening, Daily Kos opened its new Scoop site for user testing, and the next evening began the formal switchover from Movable Type, closing the old site the following morning. He and Meteor Blades would continue their formal guest blogging through November of 2004, joined by various other guest bloggers, after which they all became "alumni", allowed to post as they wished, while a new set of front-pagers assumed admin duties.

Daily Kos formally became a group blog on March 9, 2007; DHinMI was one of the fifteen Contributing Editors named by Markos. All of these Contributing Editors were regular guests on the front page, either from the current year's crop or one of the growing set of alumni. Dana's final posts as a Contributing Editor were made on August 26, 2009; his account was deactivated sometimes after his final comment on September 1, 2009.

List of Post Links

When DHinMI started posting at Daily Kos, the blog was using Movable Type software. Markos was the sole blogger, and comment threads popped up in a separate window. The Movable Type site has subsequently been archived at DailyKos.net, and all links are to that archive.

In the archive, direct links can only be made to individual front-page posts, and to the entire comment threads of those posts. All of DHinMI's front page posts are in the archive.
