Demographic Anxiety is the fear relative differnces in fertility will reduce the power of a nationality over a nation-state. White South Africans, especially the Afrikaners, feared the long term effects of their own relative decline in numbers vis-a-vis Africans. Israeli Jews fear the long term effects of their own relative decline in numbers vis-a-vis Israeli Palestinians, vis-a-vis Palestinians in the West Bank and Gaza, and vis-a-vis Palestinian refugees living in Jordan and Lebanon.
