David Payer

David B. Payer is a Republican activist and two-time electoral candidate in Des Moines, Iowa. In the 2006 general election, he unsuccessfully ran for State Representative in District 61 against incumbent Democrat Jo Oldson. Payer garnered 3916 votes (33.35%) vs. Oldson's tally of 7812 votes (66.53%). (see Iowa State House elections, 2006). He has been a member of the Polk County Republican Party's Executive Commmittee, and he runs a small internet service provider named IowaLink.
Payer is a devotee of Reverend Sun Myung Moon, and as such maintains many official websites for the Family Federation for World Peace and Unification (AKA the Unification Church or Moonies).
