David Adkins

12-year legislator and first-term Republican state senator whose legislative efforts were crucial in defeating a 2004 anti-gay benefits amendment. Apparently the only elected official in Kansas to support same-sex marriage. Seriously considering stepping down due to unlikelihood of winning his primary.
