Clarence Nishihara

Clarence Nishihara, a Democrat, represents the 18th Senatorial District in the Hawaii State House of Representatives of the Hawaii State Legislature. The 18th District includes the Waipahu, Pearl City and Manana areas on the island of Oahu, Hawaii. Nishihara was first elected to public office in the 2004 elections, defeating the powerful Sen. Cal Kawamoto in the primary.
Nishihara spent 20 years as a special education teacher in Hawai'i public schools and a decade more as a vice principal in Wai'anae and Waipahu.
