Chuck Gipp (R) represents the 16th district of the Iowa House of Representatives, covering Allamakee and Winnesheik Counties District Map (pdf), where he is the Republican Majority Leader. Gipp has been in the House since 1990. He ran for re-election unopposed in 2000, 2002 and 2004, and had only token opposition for 2006, easily winning re-election. Gipp announced that he will not seek re-election in 2008.
He grew up in rural Frankville. He attended Luther College in Decorah. He and his wife Ranae have two grown children.
