I was under the impression that, contrary to the "uniter" moniker, jr's bipartisan and cross-over support is lower than previous presidents. I remember reading (recently) words of wisdom that said, "run like you're two points behind, and govern like you won by only two points." Contrast that with jr, who lost the popular, but governs like it he won with a majority (rather than even plurality). I think that "definitely for," and "definitely against" numbers are historically high.--Narched 19:27, 31 May 2004 (PDT)
